Among others Akbulut thanks Anders Petersen and Antoine d’Agata, giving the reader a clue of his approach to photography: raw, dark, sometimes warm, erotic, dreamlike images.
As the photographer writes in a short introduction in his book: ‘Shadows of family, friends, lovers – loss, chaos, lust.’
