‘Calton Hill’ is from an ongoing series of photo books which the photographer documents a place have visited briefly. The reasons for visiting are varied: Holiday, work, shopping, curiosity for example. Atkinson photographs as he goes, without looking for anything other than the city, the self and the everyday. Craig Atkinson is a UK based photographer/artist, founder of Café Royal Books and lecturer in UCLan. His work is generally concerned with various aspects of the urban or man-made environment, usually Brutalist.
