The night is her territory. She gives herself over to her nocturnal crossings in color, without the day, anywhere, ever breaking. In her images of rare power, her characters, shining in the shadows, are suffused with a light reminiscent of Caravaggio's paintings. And this light says neither hope nor redemption. It illuminates visions where everything seems to be constantly on the wavering edge of the breaking point or of the wound. Bistros, deserted streets, pallid cities, lost figures, alone or mixed, marked, fragile and their flesh pale. With a constant empathy, she comes to deliver encounters, moments of communion, grace and emotion. She tells how the entrails of the night come to reveal beauty, pain and fragility.
