PREDIO is a documentary project that shows the intimate relationships of 200 families living inside an abandoned building in the city of São Paulo, Brazil.
From 2013 to 2018, Javier Álvarez visited this community for periods over two to three months every year, motivated by the social impact these illegal settlements have on modern society and how we look at our cities.
The whole body of work consists of photographs, collages, interviews, and archival material.
