STALLS MADE OF CRATES FROM THE SUPERMARKET.

I WATCH FROM THE FIRST FLOOR NEXT TO THE ENTRANCE OF A RESTAURANT.

LEAF PARCEL SELLER, SHE'S YOUNG, EYES DARTING, HER HANDS MOVE JUST AS QUICK.

LADY ARRIVES WITH A PUSH CART. FOUR SACKS OF CORN.

ONE OF THE MEN SELLING THE STOLEN ELECTRONICS SWAPS FOR A YOUTIAO.

A MAN APPROACHES NEGOTIATING A SCRATCHCARD FOR CORN OR A LEAF PARCEL.

EACH SELLER SCANS, NONE EXCHANGE.

NEXT DOOR FOUR PAIRS OF SHOES AND A GAS BURNER ARE LAID OUT ON THE FLOOR.

THE MAN OFFERS THE SELLER SOMETHING FROM HIS POCKET.

THE CORN LADY IS DOWN TO HER LAST SACK. SIX LEFT.

A MAN ARRIVES WITH FOUR MORE SACKS, CART FULL AGAIN.

THE SCRATCHCARD MAN ARRIVES WITH THREE SACKS OF CORN TO SELL.

AN ARGUMENT HAS BROKEN OUT, THE LADY THREATENS THE MAN WITH A CORN IN HAND.

A YOUNG WOMAN APPROACHES ÓNE OF THE CORN SELLERS WHILE ON THE PHONE. THE SELLER HANDS HER A THICK STACK OF EURO NOTES.

THE WOMAN LEAVES.

IT WAS A SHACK INTENDED TO BE A SCHOOL. AN ASSOCIATION BUILT IT FROM SALVAGED WOOD.

A TREE HOUSE ON THE GROUND.

THE CAMP GREW ON A NO MAN'S LAND BETWEEN TRAIN TRACKS AND A CEMETERY.

ITOOK FAMILY PORTRAITS; GUYS WITH THEIR TRUCKS, THEIR MOBILE PHONES, SUNGLASSES, STUFF THEY WERE PROUD OF.

MORE AND MORE PEOPLE WANTED THEM, EVENTUALLY I TOOK PHOTOS OF NEARLY EVERYONE.

SOME KIDS WENT TO SCHOOL OR WORKED WITH THEIR PARENTS, I SAW THEM IN THE EVENINGS WHEN THEY WERE JUST KNOCKING ABOUT.

THE ADULTS CLEANED, BUILT, SALVAGED, SOME DRANK, HAVING A BO, CHATTING WITH NEIGHBORS, TRYING TO GET STUFF OUT OF VISITORS, TO FIND ONE OF US WHO COULD GET FREE SANITARY PRODUCTS AND NAPPIES.
