"Changes of city increases speed rapidly as time progress.
30 years after I am born have changed many things of this island.
Working clothes unclean 30 years ago and the fathers that wore T-shirt wear the black suit and Y shirt containing crease now, and reclaimed land from the rice field or the marshy place with mysterious money, and big building and road were made there. Children's playground moved from the rice filed into television.
With the natural thing, many things were obtaines by that, and it has lost simultaneoulsy.
Although it is not having restricted to this island, this island has traced the very distorted history different form other areas.
"Something" that peaople of this island have continued having under such circumstances without changing
Social weakness and insitinctive poxer wich feels sad with loneliness, simultaneously is there of living. The ovalness and beauty.
That inconsistency that evryone has overflow on this island.
I respect people of this island"
Text from the book, written by Ryuichi Ishikawa.
