"In this book, I have decided to reproduce several hundred pictures of which virtually almost nothing is known. I have reproduced them in their exact size, as is the norm when cataloguing stamps, attracted by the physicality of these small, thick photograph cards and with a naive desire to study them as I arranged them in reconstructed series.
However, instead of better clarifying this story, repeated large discoveries of cards kept moving the boundaries of the investigation and highlighted the largest and most obscure enigma in the life of Carlo Mollino a collection of approximately two thousand female portraits, taken using Polaroid equipment between I960 and I973, when Carlo Mollino's life came to an end and his story began."
