Femmes d'Orient (edt of 6 copies)
Photographs: Ana Tornel
Publisher: Self-published
6 pages
Year: 2022
Price: 120 €
Comments: 6 loose kallitypes on Arches Platine paper in paper portfolio, 13.5 x 10 cm. 6 numbered and signed copies exist.
There exists a parallel between my observation and the material realization of this work: the contrast and co-existence of the past and the present. These images were taken with a digital camera, treated by computers to obtain negatives adapted to Kallitype, a copying process dating to the 19th century. The negatives were printed with inkjet on a transparent surface with acetate and, instead of sunlight, I used a UV light.
